I started my career in education as an art teacher.  After ten years of teaching I realized I wanted to work with kids on a different level so I returned to school and earned a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling and got licensed in 2001.  I have been a high school counselor since 2001.

I'm interested in helping students find their place in the world.  I think the high school years can be very challenging and they are sometimes difficult to maneuver.  My desire is to help students be successful academically, personally and socially.  "They can because they think they can." --Virgil

 

 

 

You're almost there!! It's really important not to lose sight of the dream...GRADUATION!  Keep up your hard work, pass all your classes and before you know it you'll be starting the next chapter of your life.

 

There will be a sign in sheet in the counseling office if you're interested in attending a Glendale Community College Application Workshop. It will be Monday, March 19th in one of the computer labs. We'll have a 2:00 and 3:00 session.  A rep from GCC will be there to assist you in applying to the school.  On April 30th we'll have an actual field trip to GCC.  You don't want to wait until the last minute to take care of registering for community college!  You really should start this summer to begin your classes, don't wait until September.
